I started on one of my baby quilts over the weekend - using a Moda Honey bun I got on sale from the
Fat Quarter Shop. I had actually gotten onto the Fat Quarter Shop website to look for the
Soiree range, but when I saw that the Swanky range was on sale, I jumped at it. The picture below shows what it has become so far - but there is still lots of sewing to do! For a range that I wasn't so sure about - I am really happy with how it looks in real life as opposed to on the computer screen. I think it will make a gorgeous quilt for a little girl.

Remember these?

They are all together now - all 36 blocks. I just have to decide on whether to put a border on it, or just bind it in the medium blue homespun... decisions, decisions! Hopefully I will be able to make it to Spotlight this weekend to get some batting so I can start (free motion - eek!) quilting it.
And tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary.

This block is from my Leanne's House quilt, which I spent a bit of time hand quilting on the weekend too. My husband keeps telling me he can't wait to hang it on the wall - isn't he a sweetie!

To celebrate, we are heading out for dinner on Thursday night - to L'etoile. For all you Masterchef and Ready, Steady Cook fans, check out who the head
chef is! I have it on good authority that he will be there too.

Congrats on your anniversary and enjoy your dinner out!! We are big master Chef fans here :) Your swanky quilt looks so pretty and girly.
Gosh you have been productive!
Hope dinner goes well!
Happy Anniversary! I hope you enjoy your meal and will enjoy reading about it I'm sure. The Leanne's House quilt is such a lot of work and it's lovely that your husband is keen to see it on display. Your whirlygig blocks look terrific together and the Swanky fabrics are fabulous - the thin strips did the trick. Have fun at Spotlight - I'm heading there too over the weekend - hope you bag loads of good buys.
Happy Stitching...Ann :)
You have been busy. I love the swanky fabrics ... the quilt will be lovely. Enjoy your dinner.
