Home again, home again...

Why do car trips always seem so much longer on the way home? We drove home to Sydney yesterday from Melbourne, and after dinner and a glass of red it was lovely to get into my own bed again. We picked up Sampson today from his holiday at the cattery and he is incredibly smoochy - it has been lovely!
And now I'm finally settling in for some late afternoon sewing... just what I need to relax after a busy, but wonderful time away.

I forgot to upload these photos before I went away, but these are the presents I sent to Emily for Chookyblue's SSCS.

This sweet bag was designed by Leanne Beasley

And this little angel was from a pattern in Homespun (and of course, I can't find the issue right now because I am looking for it!)

And of course I had to make one for myself too

There's no place like home....Your gifts for Emily are super! The little angel is a real sweetie and the Leanne Beasley bag is fantastic. I like the munched gingerbread man too.
Happy Stitching, Ann :-)

I probably passed you as I travelled down the Hume yesterday :-) My cat was happy to be collected too; they are always extra smoochy after time away.

That's a lovely pressie you put together.

Welcome home! Another thing I love is having a wash in your own shower again, as you can spend as much time and use your own non-travel shampoo!
Did kitty rub himself on everything once he got back home? That's what mine do! But I can hardlky bare to leave my animals when I go away, so these days I just don't. I haven't seen our extended family in...6 years! lol
the presents you sent look great too!

What lovely gifts you made ... lucky Emily. I really like the Leanne Beasely bag ... must get in and make one of those myself. Great the way you personalised the ornament with your names and the year.

Those angels are fantastic. If you are still looking they are from Vol 9 No 11 Issue 66.

Pleased to hear it was a great time away.

Those are beautiful gifts for your swap partner. You have inspired me to dig out the edition of Homespun which has those lovely angels....and I can't remember which one it is either! lol
